You can download the M_Map toolbox either as a gzipped tar-file ,or as zip archive(Click on these links to download - note, some problems with this have been reported by users of the Chromeweb browser). If you are unpacking the zipfile MAKE SURE YOUALSO UNPACK SUBDIRECTORIES! Both are around 650k in size. Once you havethisarchive, read the Getting started sectionof the User's guide to correctlyinstall this toolbox, and sections 8.6and 9.3 to install ETOPO1and GSHHS respectively.A number of examples are available tohighlight the various capabilities of M_Map (thumbnails are shownabove).
The software package includes 5 algorithms to find the position of the archetypes from high-dimensional data, developped by other authors for other purposes (e.g. remote sensing). We integrated them in ParTI to save the user the burden of downloading, installing and configuring the different algorithms, which include:

Contrary to ParTI(), ParTI_lite() does not compute the p-value of the identified polytopes nor errors on the archetypes which require to repeatedly reshuffle the dataset. This leads to a dramatic increase in speed: in the case of the cancer data of Curtis et al., Nature (2012) supplied with the package, the entire analysis can be performed in a few minutes with ParTI_lite(), while the complete statistical assessment performed by ParTI() may require several hours for large datasets (e.g. 4h for the cancer data of Curtis al. on a 3.4GHz CPU with 8 GB of RAM on Matlab 2013). Therefore, we recommend to first explore new data sets using ParTI_lite(), and then confirm the statistical significance of the findings using ParTI().
The GUI updated version for the MCR-ALS algorithm consists of a series of MATLAB files developed under its release 2013a. The main MCR routine is named mcr_main and it calls all the necessary auxiliary routines. MCR-ALS code, related tutorials and data sets for practicing are available at the Multivariate Curve Resolution web page.

Automatic facial landmark detection is a longstanding problem in computer vision, and 300-W Challenge is the first event of its kind organized exclusively to benchmark the efforts in the field. The particular focus is on facial landmark detection in real-world datasets of facial images captured in-the-wild. The results of the Challenge will be presented at the 300-W Faces in-the-Wild Workshop to be held in conjunction with ICCV 2013.
Facial landmark detection performance will be assessed on both the 68 points mark-up of Fig 1 and the 51 points which correspond to the points without border (please see Fig1). The average point-to-point Euclidean error normalized by the inter-ocular distance (measured as the Euclidean distance between the outer corners of the eyes) will be used as the error measure. Matlab code for calculating the error can be downloaded from _error.m. Finally, the cumulative curve corresponding to the percentage of test images for which the error was less than a specific value will be produced. Additionally, fitting times will be recorded.
