Once you have downloaded your new driver, you'll need to install it. In Windows, use a built-in utility called Device Manager, which allows you to see all of the devices recognized by your system, and the drivers associated with them.

6 Obligations to examine and to notify6.1 Licensee is obliged to examine the Software for any evident faults. An evident fault means a fault obvious to the average Licensee. Unless Licensor is notified of such faults within 14 days of downloading the Software, the warranty will expire.
Removal of any and all manufacturer-supplied drivers and software is recommended. To install the kX Driver, run the installation executable. It will extract all the driver files into your Program Files folder and will launch the kxsetup.exe program to continue the installation; the driver files will be installed into the Windows System directory (WinntSystem32 or WindowsSystem). Follow the directions on-screen and re-boot once all drivers have been installed. Should setup fail, the kX Driver can be installed manually via the Windows Device Manager (Update Driver function). When asked to Specify Location, browse to the kx.inf file in the directory on your harddrive where the driver package has been uncompressed (e.g. C:Program FileskX Project35xx).

Sound Blaster Live! was the first sound card from Creative with the "What U Hear" recording input channel. This was supported in the Windows drivers, so no additional software was needed to utilize it. The analog stereo audio signal that came out of the main Line Out was directed into this input. That way, one could mix all available inputs and the MIDI synth into one stereo signal. When using "What U Hear" with 5.1 sound, the sound would be downmixed to stereo first. The Creative Recorder utility included with the sound card was specifically designed to take advantage of the "What U Hear" feature, making it a simple matter to capture streaming sound from any source, even from programs that deliberately avoid providing a means for saving the digital sounds, thus freeing non-technical users from the complexities of "patching" between inputs and outputs of various software modules.
This was a later, improved model. The EMU10K1 chip was restored, as was hardware EAX/DirectSound/DirectSound3D acceleration. Currently there are Windows drivers available for download from Creative's website (filename: (Dell) Driver Install Pack 2_10 Languages). It was recommended that recording should be done at 48 kHz sampling rate, as there was an issue with hardware down-sampling.

The Lexmark Universal Print Driver provide users and administrators with a standardized, one-driver solution for their printing needs. Instead of installing and managing individual drivers for each printer model, administrators can install the Lexmark Universal Print Driver for use with a variety of both mono and color laser printers and multi-function devices.
With only one package to manage, testing and internal certification of print drivers is simplified by the use of the Lexmark Universal Print Driver packages. Time spent on installation, both on servers and workstations, is greatly reduced, and hard drive space formerly occupied by many product-specific drivers is now diminished significantly.
The Lexmark Universal Print Driver packages use the same graphic user interface as the product-specific drivers the users are accustomed to, and now all queues will share that same interface, decreasing calls to the help desk. Users can create and save profiles for their most frequently used settings, or use profiles that were created for them by IT.
With the new Universal Print Driver installer, administrators can choose to create preconfigured installation packages that include only the software and drivers that meet their organization's needs. This is accomplished by combining the custom installation package with Driver Configuration Files (DCFs), which lets administrators create a deployment package that best suits their environment. DCFs are described in more detail below.
The Mac UPD driver comes in 2 variants. The Color driver package is meant to work on color printers, whereas the Mono driver package will work on the mono printers. Each of the driver package comes in a DMG file format. These drivers will work for both ARM and Intel Architecture.
My first purchase was a Sound Blaster Live! model SB0200. If I had done any research beforehand, I would have known this is the infamous Dell OEM model. I never found working Windows 98 drivers for this one, but this was quite a while ago, and my Google-fu skills were not what they are today.
